”Diablo 2: Resurrected” Will Accept the Save Files From Original Game!

Blizzard announced the remaster for Diablo 2 earlier this year. We are really excited about Diablo 2: Resurrected. And the news about this remaster keeps coming. There is some awesome news for us. We recently learned that you don’t need to worry about your old saves! Diablo 2: Resurrected will accept saves from the original Diablo 2.

The game producer Matthew Cederquist said “Yes! Keep your old save files, Back when we were working on the remaster, we wondered if the old save files would work, so we kind of shoved it in, and it worked! So yes, your local singleplayer save files will carry over.” on an interview with IGN Middle East.

So yes, if you have an old save with characters you love, you will be able to play that save with new graphics and feel the nostalgia pumping up.

Game designer Andre Abrahamian said “When we first started working on the game, we wanted to keep all the gameplay aspects, like discovering the Horadric Cube recipes, or the deep itemization systems or the drop rates, and all the storytelling. But when we approach things like the art, we wanted to push it and modernize it as much as we could.”

It looks like Blizzard is doing a great job with this remaster. If you want to learn more about Diablo 2: Resurrected, you can look here and here.
