Helldivers 2 is celebrating Liberty Day 2026 with the free AR-23L Liberator Legacy rifle, temporary Super Destroyer decorations and community activities.
Arrowhead detailed the event in an official PlayStation Blog announcement. The celebration takes place on October 26 and marks Liberty Day’s third year as an in-universe Helldivers 2 event.
How to receive the AR-23L Liberator Legacy
The AR-23L Liberator Legacy is modeled after weapons from the First Galactic War. Arrowhead says the rifle will be distributed after the Liberty Day celebration concludes at 11:59 p.m. CET on October 26.
The gift is available to players who have played Helldivers 2 at any point since 12:00 a.m. CET on September 26, 2026. Eligible players should log in and participate in the Liberty Day celebration to claim it.
Ship decorations and community activities
For 24 hours on October 26, Super Destroyer interiors feature Liberty Day banners, rugs, party supplies and other decorations. Arrowhead is also bringing back community minigames including Minidivers, Adopt-a-SEAF, Oath of Enlistment and Raise the Flag. Minidivers, Oath of Enlistment and Raise the Flag are limited to members of the official Helldivers Discord server.
The event arrives shortly after the Scope of Authority Premium Warbond, which added new weapons, armor and a sniper-focused loadout to Helldivers 2.
Will the AR-23L Liberator Legacy earn a place in your Helldivers 2 loadout?
