Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has 90 counted campaign collectibles: 64 Notes and 26 Yellow Supply Crates. Most are in Stranded, which contains 58 Notes and every Yellow Crate. Following Orders adds four Notes and four separate Contraband items, while Escape has the last two Notes and Gaz’s Dog Tags.
This guide covers every location, all 13 campaign codes, the fastest way to organize Stranded, and the five related trophies or achievements. For launch details and platform information, see our Modern Warfare 4 Complete FAQ. You can also use the Modern Warfare 4 Game Hub for all of our current coverage.

How many collectibles are in Modern Warfare 4?
The 90-item total counts 64 Notes plus 26 Yellow Supply Crates. The four Contraband items in Following Orders and Gaz’s Dog Tags in Escape are separate completion items, so they do not increase the headline collectible count.
Only three of the officially confirmed 16 campaign missions contain Notes or Yellow Crates: Following Orders, Stranded and Escape. Assassins has three required keypad codes, but no optional collectible is attached to those doors.
You do not need all 64 Notes for Noteworthy. That trophy requires 50 Notes in Stranded. However, this is a 100% route, so the tables below cover all 58 Stranded Notes and the six Notes outside that mission.
Following Orders collectibles
Following Orders has eight required finds for No Stone Unturned: four Notes and four Contraband items. They are concentrated in the first and third houses, but the final cellar Note can be blocked by a dialogue choice during that run.
| Item | Type | Location |
|---|---|---|
| MP3 Player | Contraband | First house: open the wall-mounted medicine cabinet in the bathroom. |
| Western Novel | Contraband | First house: pass through the bedroom’s sliding doors and check the high shelf beside the TV. |
| Baekseolgi-Tteok Recipe | Note | First house: open the left kitchen cabinet. Its quantities also point to the toolbox code. |
| Extra Rations | Contraband | First house: check the upper kitchen cupboards. |
| Heart Medicine | Contraband | Open the red toolbox inside the bedroom cabinet with 214. |
| Note From Your Friend | Note | Inside the same red toolbox as the Heart Medicine. |
| A Note From Your Neighbor | Note | Third house: pass through the double sliding doors, take the single doorway on the right and open the wardrobe. |
| Note From Mom | Note | Take the key hanging from the side of the textured-glass cabinet, unlock the kitchen floor hatch, get the hidden woman to leave, then drop into the cellar and read the note on the shelf. |
The toolbox code is 214. The recipe lists 2 kilograms of flour, 1 liter of water, 4 packs of raisins and tells you to omit 5 grams of salt, leaving 2-1-4.
For Note From Mom, do not agree to leave the hidden woman in the cellar. Choose the firm option that gets her outside, or remove her physically when prompted. Once she leaves, climb down and read the note. If access closes, use Mission Select and repeat Following Orders.
Stranded collectibles
Stranded is the main cleanup mission: 58 Notes, 26 Yellow Supply Crates and eight keypad locks across an open map. When you leave Base Camp, choose “I’ll find my own path and look for gear and supplies.” This opens free exploration before you commit to an objective.
Open the 0024 Base Camp container first. Its wall map adds the other keypad containers to the Tac Map. Clear outposts as you move because each captured location becomes a fast-travel point. Pick up every Supply bag and supply drop you see; Scavenger needs 195 Supplies.
The backpack screen tracks Stranded Notes as a total out of 58, while every Yellow Crate displays progress out of 26. Your pickup order may change the number shown for an individual Note, so use the names, landmarks and coordinates below rather than a source-specific numbering scheme.
All eight Stranded keypad codes
Stranded has six locked shipping containers and two hidden bunkers. All eight use fixed four-digit codes, including their leading zeroes.
| Lock | Coordinates or landmark | Code | What is inside |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base Camp container | By the radio tower | 0024 | Supplies and a map that marks other locked containers |
| Cliff near Base Camp container | 646, 149 to 646, 158 | 0600 | Yellow Supply Crate |
| South of Jamming Station container | 667, 125 | 8609 | Yellow Supply Crate |
| Southeast Village container | 652, 187 | 0078 | Yellow Supply Crate |
| Big Sign container | 634, 136 | 1234 | Yellow Supply Crate |
| Small Island container | 618, 132 | 6789 | Yellow Supply Crate |
| Farm Field hidden bunker | 631, 127 | 0330 | Notes and supplies; not a counted Yellow Supply Crate |
| Island hidden bunker | 615, 169 to 616, 168 | 0008 | Notes and a Yellow Supply Crate |
The Base Camp container and the Farm Field bunker contain useful Supplies, but neither counts as one of the 26 Yellow Supply Crates. The 0008 island bunker does contain a counted crate.

The sewer route is the easiest place to lose time. Enter through the water-treatment building, descend the floor ladder and follow the painted arrow boards through both crawlspace sections. Use Night Vision Goggles and stop before wires rather than sprinting. The final chamber holds both the Sewer Smuggler Remains Note and a Yellow Supply Crate.
Mutiny and Discipline are only available during the Bunker objective. After restoring access to the interior, pull the yellow cart beneath the broken stair section and climb to the upper ledge. At the Jamming Station, search every work area before leaving: locker room, entry building, control room, helipad and quarters.
All 26 Stranded Yellow Supply Crate locations
There are 24 fixed crates and two moving crates. The moving train circles the map, while the convoy truck patrols the roads around the Base Camp mountain and may stop near Infantry Checkpoint #3.
| # | Location | Coordinates | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Base Camp radio tower | 644, 158 | Climb to the highest platform. |

| 26 | SAM Site statue | 609, 125 | Clear the SAM Site; the crate is beside the monument. |
If the convoy truck does not appear, fast travel away and return to the northeast outpost. For the train crate, wait near the railway or drive alongside the flatbed and board it. Both moving crates count normally toward Time to Crate.
For the elevator-building crate at Logistics Station #100, position the lift several floors above the bottom, climb behind it through the shaft, cross the beams and use the damaged stairs to reach the top. At Artillery Battery #6, explosives clear the wooden crates blocking the container. The hilltop store is packed with tripwires, so use an explosive from outside or move slowly along the safe edge of the room.
How Scavenger works and why you need 195 Supplies
Scavenger is not awarded for a specific pickup. It unlocks when every Base Camp weapon and item has been repaired or made. The full bill is 195 Supplies.
| Base Camp repair or item | Supplies |
|---|---|
| Mortar | 30 |
| Scoped LMG | 30 |
| Vulkan Sniper suppressor | 10 |
| Silenced AR | 25 |
| Semtex | 5 |
| Pistol underbarrel shotgun | 5 |
| Molotov | 5 |
| Snow Ghillie Suit | 15 |
| Tactical Boots | 20 |
| Tactical Gloves | 15 |
| Grenade Launcher | 15 |
| Silenced Thermal Sniper | 20 |
Total: 195 Supplies. Pick up the Vulkan Sniper beside the final SAM Site crate before returning to Base Camp, because its suppressor repair does not appear until you have the weapon. Completing all 26 crates and looting Supply bags along the route should cover most or all of the total; repeatable supply drops can make up any shortage.
Escape collectibles and Dog Tags
Spoiler warning: this section identifies a late-campaign keepsake and names its owner.
Escape contains two Notes. After dealing with the first guard, enter the first door on the left and read Confiscation Protocol Reminder on the desk. Later, hide until the soldier in the next office answers a phone call and leaves, then enter and read Updated Code. That Note gives you 8410.
Continue until Ghost has been freed and the route passes through the barracks. In the hallway after the sleeping quarters, take the first unlocked doorway on the right. Enter 8410 on the wall safe and collect Gaz’s Dog Tags to unlock Never Forgotten.
Modern Warfare 4 keypad and safe codes
The campaign has 13 known codes across four missions. The three Assassins codes are mandatory story doors; the others open optional collectibles, loot or completion items.
| Mission | Lock | Code | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Following Orders | Red toolbox | 214 | Optional: note and Heart Medicine contraband |
| Assassins | Library door | 5523 | Required story door |
| Assassins | Kitchen door | 7632 | Required story door |
| Assassins | Bunker door | 9103 | Required story door |
| Stranded | Base Camp container | 0024 | Supplies and container map |
| Stranded | South of Jamming Station container | 8609 | Yellow Supply Crate |
| Stranded | Southeast Village container | 0078 | Yellow Supply Crate |

| Stranded | Small Island container | 6789 | Yellow Supply Crate |
| Stranded | Farm Field hidden bunker | 0330 | Notes and supplies |

| Escape | Dog Tags safe | 8410 | Gaz’s Dog Tags |
Modern Warfare 4 collectible trophies and achievements
| Trophy or achievement | Mission | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| No Stone Unturned | Following Orders | Collect all 4 Notes and all 4 Contraband items. |
| Noteworthy | Stranded | Read 50 of the mission’s 58 Notes. |
| Time to Crate | Stranded | Open all 26 Yellow Supply Crates. |
| Scavenger | Stranded | Repair or make all 12 Base Camp items for a total of 195 Supplies. |
| Never Forgotten | Escape | Collect Gaz’s Dog Tags from the safe opened with 8410. |
No Stone Unturned leaves no margin: you need all eight Following Orders items. Noteworthy is more forgiving because only 50 of the 58 Stranded Notes are required. A full 100% run should still collect all 58, especially because several sit beside crates, codes and Scavenger resources.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many collectibles are in Modern Warfare 4?
There are 90 counted collectibles: 64 Notes and 26 Yellow Supply Crates. Four Contraband items and Gaz’s Dog Tags are additional completion items.
Do you need all 64 Notes for Noteworthy?
No. Noteworthy unlocks after reading 50 Notes in Stranded. The other six campaign Notes do not count toward that trophy, and Stranded itself gives you eight Notes of leeway.
How many Yellow Supply Crates are in Stranded?
Stranded has 26 Yellow Supply Crates. Twenty-four are in fixed locations, one is on the looping freight train and one is on a patrolling convoy truck.
Can you replay missions to collect missed items?
Yes. Completed missions can be replayed through Mission Select. Stranded also stores its open-map progress separately, allowing you to return for missed Notes, crates and repairs.
Are Modern Warfare 4 collectibles missable?
They can be missed during a run, but none is permanently missable because you can replay the relevant mission. Following Orders’ cellar Note is the main choice-dependent item, and several Stranded Notes only appear inside active objectives.
What is the Stranded Base Camp keypad code?
The Base Camp container code is 0024. Open it early to collect Supplies and reveal the other locked container locations on the Tac Map.
What is the Escape safe code?
The Escape safe code is 8410. The safe contains Gaz’s Dog Tags and unlocks Never Forgotten.
Where are the Dog Tags in Modern Warfare 4?
Gaz’s Dog Tags are in a wall safe during Escape. After passing through the barracks and sleeping quarters, enter the first unlocked room on the right side of the hallway and use 8410.
Which missions contain collectibles?
Notes and Yellow Supply Crates appear only in Following Orders, Stranded and Escape. Assassins has three keypad codes, but its locked doors are part of normal story progression.
