Modern Warfare 2 to Implement Advanced Punishment System Against Toxic Players

If there is one thing that the Call of Duty series is infamous for, it’s probably the toxic players who get involved in voice chat arguments with anyone in any lobby. It’s not anything new, either, as there are clips from years back on YouTube, in which some can even be defined as classics.

WARNING: Video includes profanity.

However, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 might not contain these players in a voice chat anymore. As reported by Dexerto, A new in-game report system developed by Infinity Ward is on its way, and it looks promising with its features such as imposing a global voice chat ban on reported toxic players, resulting in a mute.

The new report system lets players give in-depth detail about the reason for their report, which might help out with moderation at times. The new report tab can be seen below. For more details, you can view the blog post dedicated to the report system here.

The system will be shipped along with the release of Warzone 2.0 as well, which will be happening on the 16th of November. It is also planned to be included in future Call of Duty releases. Well, let’s hope all goes according to plan!
