Rockstar Games Reportedly Stops Working on Planned Remakes of RDR1 & GTA 4 to Work on GTA 6

Some reports hit the surface claiming that Rockstar Games have stopped working on the remakes of Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto IV. This decision was reportedly taken after they received critics of Grand Theft Auto – The Trilogy Definitive Edition.

These news were reported by a leaker along with Kotaku, where it is said that the Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 remakes were “on the table a few years ago, but Rockstar chose not to proceed with the projects in mind.”

This does not neccesarily mean that the projects are cancelled, however, as they could progress once GTA 6 releases. It is believed by many that this action was taken due to poor reception the company’s last release, GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, has gotten.

Although they revealed that they are working on it last year, Rockstar still has a long way to go until the release of GTA 6. It is very likely that we won’t be seeing the release of the title in the next 1-2 year(s). We don’t have any more details on this matter at the moment.
