Minecraft Youtuber Technoblade Dies of Cancer at The Age of 23

Today we received the news that Technoblade, whose real name is Alex, has died from stage four cancer. The news comes from Technoblade’s channel with a video named “so long nerds”, where his father announces that Alex is no longer with us.

Technoblade had announced his cancer diagnosis around a year ago and had problems with keeping up with his upload schedule ever since. This mainly was caused by him undergoing chemotherapy in order to fight cancer. Alex was just 23 years old.

In the video, Alex’s father has read a letter from him, which was written 8 hours prior to his passing, where he says that if he had one hundred lives, he “would choose to be Technoblade again every single time. Those were the happiest years of my life. I hope you guys enjoyed my content and that I made some of you laugh and I hope you all go on to live long prosperous and happy lives because I love you guys, Technoblade out.”

Technoblade has been an idol for many people during his active years and inspired many others to go on with what they want to do. He also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities that aim to fight cancer during his lifetime.

At the end of the video, there was a message from Technoblade’s mother, saying “this past year had a lot of rough spots for our son as he battled stage four cancer. But he didn’t complain and kept using his famous strategic mind to try to beat what he knew were almost impossible odds… My son’s bravery on this path was a shining lesson to all of us who were privileged to walk it with him.”
