Sony Puts Limit on PS5 Purchases in The US this Holiday

Sony has established a new system that would be based on registering in order to purchase PS5 in the US. This will give more people a chance to grab a PS5 in the holiday season this year.

In the FAQ it says that the invitations for the system will be limited and ‘previous interests and PlayStation activities’ will be considered when giving them out. You can register with your email and PSN ID here in order to receive an invite.

The invitations will be sent via email and they will start to roll out in November, they will have a limited time of validity so make sure to check your email when the time comes. In case you get invited, you’ll be able to purchase PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition via PS Direct.

This is actually great to hear since Sony have already explained that the shortages of PS5 will go on in 2022, so this might prevent scalpers from getting their hands on them before you get to it.
