Cross-Play Support for Borderlands 3 is Coming, but It doesn’t Include PlayStation

A cross-play update for Borderlands 3 has been revealed, but there’s a catch with the whole thing: The cross-play support won’t include PlayStation consoles in it, which was apparently “required by the publisher”. They have shared the news with a tweet on Twitter:

The publisher that we’re talking about here is probably 2K Games, but it could be Sony as well. Maybe there has been a certification conflict, or Sony tried to charge 2K Games for publishing the game on their platform and it didn’t work out. Either way, we don’t know what exactly happened yet.

Borderlands 3 actually does support cross-platform between different generations of the same series, like Xbox One and Xbox Series X users being able to play together. Now hearing that actual cross-platform support is cool, but I don’t know if it will be as effective when PlayStation staying out considered.
