Dinosaur Planet for N64 Out in The Wild

Rare’s unreleased Dinosaur Planet for Nintendo 64 is available on console.

Video game conservation experts at Forest of Illusion announced that they are releasing a December 2000 build of the game. Dinosaur Planet was eventually released as Star Fox Adventures for GameCube in 2002.

Digital Foundry John Linneman confirmed the validity of the build and was able to run it on a real Nintendo 64. The video below is from the gameplay he captured:

This build of the game doesn’t appear to be due to the Nintendo gigaleak that recently helped fans restore Super Mario World music. Rather, the conservationists purchased a disc with the Dinosaur Planet’s continuing code on it.
