Creator of Silent Hill Reveals Upcoming Horror Game With First-Look Concept Art

Keiichiro Toyama, who is the creator of Silent Hill and Gravity Rush, teased his new project with unique art, and they look quite horrifying.

In Bokeh’s YouTube channel, we got the first look at his studio’s upcoming game with a video. And when we look into the video, we can see that Toyama is coming back with a big one. If Bokeh can manage to make a truly horrifying game, that’s great for their debut.

The art looks unique to itself, Toyama explained that the death game comics and the day-to-day way of life influenced the art and beings inside them heavily.

“I often read comics as a form of entertainment, […] Recently, you see a trend for ‘death game’ type of content. These works tend to add entertainment to somewhat brutal worlds, so I naturally took that approach. The view I have of horror is the everyday life being shaken. Rather than just showing scary things, it should question our position and make us challenge the fact that we’re living peacefully.”

Toyama stated that he would like to make players feel exhilarated while experiencing the horrific atmosphere the game offers. “Rather than something deeply into horror, I want to keep an entertainment note. While keeping elements from horror, I want players to feel exhilarated when playing the game.”

This project looks promising, and we hope that it matches fans’ expectations. Let’s be patient and wait for the release and more details, shall we?
