Sony Pictures Announces Postponed Productions

Sony Pictures announced the delay of Uncharted, Cinderella, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.

Uncharted moved from July 16, 2021 to February 11, 2022, Cinderella from February 5, 2021 to July 16, 2021, Ghostbusters: Afterlife moved from June 11, 2021 to November 11, 2021 and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, from April 2, 2021 to June 11, 2021.

COVID-19 is having a huge impact on movie studios around the world and is another hurdle in the way for the project, which saw more than six directors. Fortunately, we finally got Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and some footage from the movie. Uncharted will be directed by Ruben Fleischer and will also star in Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle and Antonio Banderas.

Cinderella is a bold interpretation of the classic tale with a focus on music, starring Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel, Billy Porter, Nicholas Galitzine, Minnie Driver and Pierce Brosnan. The film is directed by Kay Cannon.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a sequel to the original movies and is originally scheduled for release in 2020. The film was directed and co-written by Jason Reitman, and the original stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson will see Annie’s return. Potts and Sigourney Weaver with new stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd.

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway continues the story of Peter and his family. In this movie directed by Will Gluck, Peter doesn’t seem to shake his mischievous side and must understand what kind of bunny he wants to be when his parents risk everything to look for him after leaving the garden.
