Most Downloaded PS4 Exclusive of 2020: Ghost Of Tsushima

PlayStation revealed what the most downloaded games were last year across PS4 and PS5, and the only thing to dominate them all is the samurai legend Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch Productions.

On the US charts, he surpasses The Last of Us Part 2 and Final Fantasy VII Remake, also exclusive on the platform, showing that love for the gorgeous but challenging game should not be underestimated. As a result, Ghost of Tsushima has sold more than five million copies worldwide, with its impressive art direction and tribute to 20th-century samurai films. The Kurosawa Mode immerses the game in a black and white filter with film-grainy and edited sound so it looks very similar to movies made with the technology of the 50s.

Toshihiro Nagoshi, the creator of the Yakuza game series, applauded the studio for their dedication to accurately and artistically representing Japanese history and culture in Ghost of Tsushima. Despite being divisive among critics, it is very clear that Sucker Punch Productions is planning a sequel. He hires a narrative writer, co-artist, and war designer, and these candidates will be working on a new playset in feudal Japan (and ideally they will need to be familiar with the Ghost of Tsushima).

It’s interesting that Ghost of Tsushima beat The Last of Us Part 2 and became the most exclusive game for PS4. The Last of Us Part 2 appears to be released a month before Ghost of Tsushima and left with seven awards in The Game.
