Investigation for CD Projekt By Polish Regulator Started After Cyberpunk 2077’s Release

After the not-so-good console release of Cyberpunk 2077, the Office Of Competition And Consumer Protection of Poland started an investigation about the issue.

The investigation has been confirmed in the national newspaper, and it is said that CD Projekt will be heavily observed.

“We ask the entrepreneur to explain the problems with the game and the actions taken by him. We will check how the manufacturer is working on introducing corrections or solving difficulties that prevent the game from playing on different consoles, but also how it intends to act in relation to people who have complained and are dissatisfied with the purchase due to the inability to play the game on their equipment despite the manufacturer’s previous assurances.”

Let’s be real here, the console version of Cyberpunk 2077 was a disaster. It came to a point where it had to be taken down from PlayStation Store. For the Xbox side, refunds flew by. CD Projekt also has been fined a class-action lawsuit. Things were much better for the PC side but the bugs sometimes made the game unplayable.

Cyberpunk 2077 had great potential, all developers can do right now is to fix the issues on all platforms and give people smooth gameplay. We will see how this investigation and the lawsuit will turn out in the future.
