PS4 System Software Update

Sony’s latest PS4 software update is rolling out today and replaces many of the existing features.

As PlayStation Blog details, there will be updates to groups and messages, noticeable changes to the user interface will be introduced, making them easier and more closely connected. Instead of separate groups, parties and messages will now use the same groups for voice chats and messaging.

In the Quick Menu, the update also adds a highly self-explanatory all-mic mute feature, allowing gamers to mute all microphones while playing.

Also, Sony adds new preset avatars that include Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, The Last of Us Part II, Journey, The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and much more.

Parental controls are simplified by transforming communication with other players and other player-generated content into a single communication and user-generated content setting. This will make it easier for parents to monitor their kids’ game interactions.
