PC version of Agony will have an optional patch to remove censorship

Agony is a first-person survival horror game, which will bring new pleasures along with hellish nightmares, by studio Madmind.

Agony is all about escaping from hell. You are a tormented soul within the depths of hell without any memories about your past. Maybe, it is better not to carry the burden of what you have done to end up in hell, or maybe it is the reason you have lost your memory. Whatever the cause is, Agony gives you something to replace the lack of memory: possession of mind control.

Another charming part of Agony is that it features nudity and torture, yet seems like they are somehow exaggerated. According to the developers, in order to be able to publish the game, they had to make some compromises when it comes to nudity and violence scenes. In order to release the game on PS4 and Xbox One, the game need to be M (Mature) rating instead of AO (Adult-Only) rating. And with that scenes, Agony is an AO.

There have been some changes and modifications on these scenes, but it is good to hear that there will be an optional patch to remove the censorship on PC. Backers who have bought the console version of Agony will be able to convert it into a PC version and this case will be detailed soon.

Developers promised that the game still reflects the same atmosphere and shared some gifs in order to prove that. You can see them by visiting here.

Stay tuned!
