Cyberpunk 2077 will not feature microtransactions, will have classes and character customization

During FY2017 financial results conference, CD Projekt RED’s president Adam Kicinski shared some exciting news about their upcoming and highly anticipated role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077.

According to Adam, Cyberpunk 2077’s tech is highly advanced and and it will take advantage of future and more powerful hardware which means the game will probably land on next-gen consoles. The game will be story-driven single-player RPG and it will not feature microstransactions or payments.

Also, Cyberpunk 2077 will let us customize our characters and choose classes. Adam stated that their priority is the single-player campaign, yet we are hopeful about a surprise multiplayer mode.

As for multiplayer, first of all we’re going to deliver the players a huge story-driven role-playing game for a single-player, as was the case with The Witcher 3. As for further [expansions] for the game, I don’t like to comment on that. I’m not saying it’s not going to be the case, because we’ve already said in the past that we’d like our games to implement online components sometime in the future.

Previously, CD Projekt RED announced it is opening a new studio in order to support the development of Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt RED Wroclaw is located in Poland and will join forces with CD Projekt RED Warsaw and Cracow.

We will be back with more detailed news about Cyberpunk 2077. Stay tuned!
