Rainbow Six Siege Outbreak and Chimera is now available

Rainbow Six Siege’s latest free expansion, Operation Chimera went live today and with it Year 3 has started. This expansion is not only about new thingies for the competitive game. But also, it introduces a new game mode where you can play with other people against the AI which is called the Outbreak.

So, first of all, what do we get from this new expansion? 2 new Operators (Attackers), Finka and Lion. Finka has the ability to heal while Lion uses a drone which allows players to see other players for a limited time. If you have the Year 3 season pass, you’ll get the new Operators for free. Other people will have to wait a little bit more before they can purchase them with in-game currency.

The special event, Outbreak, is a co-op survival mode in which you will form a team and fight against zombie like enemies. You can consider it as a Left 4 Dead kind of mode. With this mode, you will get a special loot-box which includes exclusive gear. Be warned though, the mode is here for a limited time, specifically until April 3rd. So hurry up!
