Metro: Exodus has brand new screenshots and detailed news

Upcoming first-person shooter Metro: Exodus is one of the highly-anticipated titles of 2018 since the time we laid our eyes on it at E3 2017.

Metro: Exodus is the third installment in the Metro game series based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels. It is set to follow the events of Metro: Last Light and Metro 2033. Like other Metro titles, Metro Exodus is a first-person shooter game with survival horror and stealth elements.

In Metro: Exodus, we will try to survive in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the former Russian Federation. These, we already knew. Thanks to GameInformer, we now have more detailed news about the upcoming game.

According to the GameInformer, Metro: Exodus will support physically-based rendering and will have an overhauled lighting system. The game will feature full facial capture for cinematics, a dynamic weather system, full day/night cycles, atmospheric systems and sim AI biomes.

Our protagonist will wield n arsenal of hand-made weaponry which can be customized through scavenging materials and a crafting system. It also includes a dynamic weather system, a day-night cycle, and environments that change along with the seasons as the story progresses.

The story of the game will follow the events of Metro: Last Light and Metro 2033. Earth has been devastated by a nuclear war over 20 years ago in 2013 and the story continues from Metro: Last Lights “Redemption” ending. We are, again, 22-year-old Artyom. I know you already missed him.

Metro: Exodus will be out in Q4 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned!
