Konami is considering second and third waves of Silent Hill projects after the series’ initial revival releases, producer Motoi Okamoto has said. His comments point to continued planning around the horror franchise, but they are not an announcement of specific new games.
Okamoto discussed the series in the October 2026 issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu. According to IGN’s report and translation, he said the first three titles in the revival had been released and were well received, bringing the initial wave to a successful close.
With that phase complete, Okamoto said the team was thinking about second and third waves and looking at a number of projects. He did not name those projects, provide release windows or confirm which studios and platforms might be involved.
That distinction matters because the comments describe an active direction for the franchise rather than a finalized slate. Until Konami formally reveals individual titles, the number, scope and timing of future Silent Hill releases remain unknown.
The series’ current revival traces back to Konami’s 2022 Silent Hill Transmission. At the time, we reported on the company’s plan to reveal multiple Silent Hill projects, beginning a wider return for the franchise across remakes and original entries.
Okamoto’s latest comments suggest Konami wants that renewed activity to continue beyond the first group of releases. They do not, however, confirm sequels to any particular entry or establish that every project under consideration will reach production.
What kind of Silent Hill project would you most like Konami to prioritize in a future wave?
