Silent Hill 2 Remake

We had rumors of it going on, and finally, it has been announced: Silent Hill 2 Remake. The name behind the project is Bloober Team, and they are getting help from the original Team Silent artist Masahiro Ito along with the team’s composer Akira Yamaoka.

It covers the story of James Sunderland once again, where he will be looking for his dead wife during the adventure the game has to offer. The game is announced for PlayStation 5 and will feature 4K along with promised new technology.

Silent Hill f

A new spinoff title for the franchise named Silent Hill f has been announced. It’s set in 1960s Japan and is written by the Japanese writer Ryukishi07, who worked on several visual novels prior to this project.

Silent Hill: Townfall

Silent Hill: Townfall is another Silent Hill spinoff that is being developed by No Code Studios and will be published by Annapurna Interactive. This project aims for a different approach to the franchise, partially separating it from the original titles.

Silent Hill: Ascension

Probably one of the most unexpected concepts, Silent Hill: Ascension is another revealed project during the Silent Hill transmission. With its unique elements, it’s a good guess that this one did get a good amount of attention from the viewers. It will offer an interactive film experience where your choices will matter.

Return to Silent Hill

A third movie from the maker of the first Silent Hill movie, Christophe Gans, is announced. We don’t know the details on it yet but KONAMI promised more details regarding the movie coming at later dates.

With these new projects, we think that it’s safe to say Silent Hill has returned. Phew! That’s a lot of projects to work with, so let’s hope everything goes smoothly and we get great experiences from all of them. What do you think about this news? Let us know in the comments section!
