Grand Theft Auto VI has reached an estimated 7.71 million digital pre-orders worth approximately $751 million, according to third-party data from analytics firm Sensor Tower. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have not confirmed the figures.
The Sensor Tower estimates reported by Dexerto cover digital pre-orders for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. They do not include physical copies.
PS5 accounts for an estimated 74% of pre-orders
Sensor Tower’s reported platform breakdown puts PlayStation 5 well ahead of Xbox Series X|S:
- PlayStation 5: approximately 5.74 million digital pre-orders, worth an estimated $559 million, or 74% of the total.
- Xbox Series X|S: approximately 1.97 million digital pre-orders, worth an estimated $192 million, or 26% of the total.
- Combined: approximately 7.71 million digital pre-orders and $751 million in estimated revenue.
Those numbers are estimates from an analytics company rather than official sales results. Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has publicly validated the unit or revenue totals, so they should not be treated as confirmed pre-order data.
