Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 goes live across all platforms at 12:00 a.m. ET on November 6, which is 9:00 p.m. PT on November 5. The update fully integrates Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 with Warzone and introduces two new maps, new limited-time modes, an overhauled Perk structure, additional equipment and a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
The integration resets Player Level and connects progression across Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone, with optional Prestige progression. Players gain access to all 33 Modern Warfare 4 launch weapons plus the armaments arriving during Season 1, along with Weapon Prestige, Apex Attachments and Warzone-specific Mastery Camos. Older weapons from Modern Warfare II through Black Ops 7 remain available through a Legacy tab, although they do not support every new customization and mastery feature.
The full roadmap is available on the official Call of Duty Season 1 blog. For the wider premium-game update, including Multiplayer and DMZ, see our Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 coverage.
Hajin and Zodiac expand the Warzone map pool
Hajin is the new large-scale Battle Royale map and contains 13 major points of interest across areas of North and South Korea. Its terrain moves between dense city streets, fortified districts, abandoned buildings, farmland, rivers and forested hills, creating clear shifts between close-range fights and exposed long-range engagements. Variable weather conditions can bring clear skies, fog, wind, rain and distant storms to different deployments while preserving gameplay visibility.
Zodiac is a more compact Resurgence map built around the DRC Advanced Systems drone manufacturing headquarters. Its 10 points of interest combine sprawling factory interiors, research facilities, elevated rooftops, underground routes and coastal areas. Moving trains, solar panels, furnace conveyor belts and explosive fuel barrels add environmental hazards and opportunities for squads to change how they rotate through the facility.
Season 1 also makes more of the environment interactive. Fuel barrels can be carried into position or moved with the new Grabber Drone before being detonated. Dumpsters, concrete cylinders and other cover or platform objects can be pushed and pulled to create temporary defensive positions. Squads can even place roadblock objects in key routes to stop vehicles, turning parts of Hajin, Zodiac and the returning Verdansk into more reactive spaces.
New modes, Elite Perks and equipment
Three limited-time modes arrive at launch. Rally Point is a 20-player Zodiac experience designed as a lower-pressure place to explore Warzone’s systems, complete contracts and fight hostile soldiers. Massive Resurgence brings the redeployment format to Hajin with up to 120 players, while Loaded Resurgence supports up to 44 players on Zodiac and Rebirth Island and lets competitors deploy with their selected Loadout. Rockets and Snipers and Extreme Resurgence are planned as mid-season additions.
The Perk system contains 18 total Perks. Fifteen are selectable Loadout Perks divided across the usual three slots, while three Elite Perks must be acquired during a match. Elite Perks occupy a fourth Perk slot, and players can equip only one at a time. Athleticism improves agility while strafing, crouching and aiming; Phantom blocks detection from enemy recon Killstreaks, equipment and Perks; and Fieldcraft rapidly regenerates armor and equipment.
The equipment pool includes 13 Field Upgrades and nine Killstreaks, mixing returning tools with Modern Warfare 4 additions. The Zipline Launcher creates traversal routes that either team can use, while the Grabber Drone can retrieve loot, environmental objects and even downed squadmates. The broader selection adds new reconnaissance, mobility, defensive and offensive options without requiring every squad to approach a fight the same way.
Season 1 also marks Call of Duty: Warzone’s launch on Nintendo Switch 2. The free-to-play version includes Hajin, Zodiac and the other supported maps and playlists, bringing the same seasonal rollout to Nintendo’s current hardware.
