Call of Duty: Warzone will stop being playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 begins on November 6, 2026. The season goes live at 12:00 a.m. ET on November 6, which is 9:00 p.m. PT on November 5.

Activision’s official platform update says the legacy-console version remains playable through the end of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 06. New downloads on PS4 and Xbox One ended on June 4, and the Warzone in-game store on those systems was removed on June 25.

The company says progression and content purchased with COD Points will carry forward when players use the same linked Activision account on a supported current-generation console or PC. There are platform-account restrictions, however: unspent COD Points and most content bought with local currency remain tied to the same console family.

The timing is confirmed in the official Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone Season 1 announcement. The change applies specifically to Warzone; older Call of Duty games released for PS4 and Xbox One are not being shut down by this platform transition.

Will you move your Warzone account to a current-generation system before support ends?
