Cyberpunk 2077 Now Completely Third-Person Playable

One of the issues with Cyberpunk 2077 was that it could only be played in the first person. We know that players should include the option to switch between first and third-person viewpoints. You can do this in games like Skyrim and Fallout 3.

The good news is that the third-person mod has finally arrived and you can download it for yourself right now. The bad news is that it can only be used on a PC.

The mod was created by sarunama on Nexusmods. The setup and use of the mod are demonstrated in the video below courtesy of Slothability. It should be noted that this mod is still a work in progress which means you will likely encounter some glitches along the way.

As you can probably see from the video, the war problem is still something that needs to be resolved in third parties. Since CDPR designs everything in the first person, it’s funny not wanting to watch your character swing his arms desperately as if they exist independently of your body. It may be best to turn to the first person in any battle scenario until modders find a more elegant solution.

This is a pretty cool mod and finally lets you run your stuff in Night City as many fans wanted since the game launch. Hopefully, CDPR can add some kind of official third-party support to Cyberpunk 2077 at some point, but I’m guessing that will happen after the team resolves the game’s more pressing issues.
