Oscar Isaac Will Be in The Role of Solid Snake In Sony’s ‘Metal Gear Solid’ Movie
According to Deadline, Oscar Isaac will be acting as the protagonist Solid Snake of ‘Metal Gear Solid’ movie. The movie is in development at Sony Pictures with Vogt-Roberts directing on board.
The film is based on the events of the video game Metal Gear Solid, created by Hideo Kojima and published by Konami. Avi Arad as producer and script by Derek Connolly. Peter Kang will be the executive overseeing of the studio.
Metal Gear Solid was released first for Playstation in 1996, telling the story of Snake, the protagonist of the game, a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility for the sake of eliminating a potential terrorist threat from Foxhound. The quality of cinematics in-game was already showing signs that this game could be a movie back then.
