Wheelchairs Were Added to Fallout 76 After Request From Disabled Player

About a month ago, Kelly Leunen wrote on Fallout 76 subreddit that she would like to have wheelchair in Fallout 76. She said that she is disabled in real life and would be happy if she could add a piece of her in creations she made in-game. She also added with “And I think a lot of other people would enjoy it too (maybe for when you recreate a hospital/medbay)”

A Bethesda community manager saw this post and decided to raise the request in the team. The idea passed and the feature to craft wheelchairs was added to the game with the Steel Dawn expansion update.

After the update, Leunen sent a post on Twitter with the wheelchair she crafted in her C.A.M.P. between two flamingos at her base.

Also, she updated her Reddit post to clarify one thing: Some other gamers misunderstood the concept of the ability to craft a wheelchair, they thought Leunen wants her character to be disabled, but all she asked for was furniture which is a wheelchair.
