Cyberpunk 2077, known as the most anticipated game of all time, has been delayed again 3 days ago. While some of the fans couldn’t remember how many postponements there were, some of them threaten the game producers even with death. Right after the announcement of postponement, a few details about it have been shown up. The developers stated that the delay was due to the inconsistency of their tests for all game versions. Especially the Xbox One and Playstation 4, which are among the console platforms, were shown as the reason for this delay. On the subject, Adam Kiciński, CD Projekt co-CEO, said the following:
“First and foremost, on behalf of the whole board, I would like to offer an apology for breaking our promise and failing your trust. We underestimated the time required for the very final processes. The game is ready for the PC and runs great on the next-gen consoles, and could be shipped on the scheduled date on those platforms. However, even though the game has been certified on the current gens by both Sony and Microsoft, some very final optimization processes for such a massive and complex game require a bit of additional time.”
According to the statement, it is clearly understandable that the game was ready for the PC platform but as the co-CEO of the company, Kiciński says that next-gen console platforms need better optimization for the final release of the game. About the new release date, 10 December, Kiciński stated that “We feel—maybe not comfortable, but confident”.
