World of Warcraft’s New Expansion Shadowlands is Delayed

Blizzard announced today that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands won’t release on October 27, but the pre-patch will be out in October.

It does not have a release date yet but the developer is still planning to release the expansion until the end of 2020.

According to a declaration the executive producer John Hight, the delay is for ‘optimizations and some adjustments’. He says that it is the hardest part because Shadowlands expansion is the most disheveled expansion pack in the WoW universe.
This is the case, as producers have to work from their homes due to COVID-19.

Hight also said that the pre-patch, which will be ten legs of the Shadowlands to be released, will meet players on October 13. So, That patch will include “revamped character leveling,” the new Exile’s Reach starting zone, and “a host of new character customization options.”
