Hunt: Showdown’s new one week only special event offers rewards for solo players

Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown gets its first special event. For a week only, solo players will receive tremendous rewards for participating in The Solo Event. The idea is pretty simple and pretty engaging actually. You will play as one person, without the aid of your teammate, and you will compete against other solo players.

The map stays the same. However, the player count will be a little different this time as there will be 10 players in total, all solos, whereas the normal count was five teams of two players, sometimes a few solo players.

The event will support only one bounty for each boss. So, you won’t have to worry about the other bounty that you won’t be able to pick up. The boss count will be different for each map, meaning you can either get one boss fight for one bounty, or two boss fights for two bounties.

The drawback is that you won’t be able to get the team extraction bonus in the end. However, Crytek has a surprise for solo players. At the end of the event, people with success will receive other in-game rewards like money, experience and a chance to name a hunter as you want. Here are the details:

“To keep things interesting, we’re also offering special rewards during the event for players who extract with the most bounty (Solo Event queue only!) The rewards up for grabs are as follows:

Top 50: 3500 in-game Dollars

Top 10: 3500 in-game Dollars, custom Hunter name for a single Hunter***

Top 5: 3500 in-game Dollars, custom Hunter name for a single Hunter, 3 weapons of choice (1 large, 1 medium, 1 small) , 3 consumables of choice, 3 tools of choice, and 50 points worth of traits

Top 3: All of the rewards available to the top 5 players, as well as +1 prestige level”

Starting today, The Solo Event will stay live until September 6th 4PM CET.

So prepare your revolvers and delve into the unforgiving swamps of Louisiana again; but this time, alone.

Stay tuned for more!
