At Quakecon 2018, Bethesda announced some new details about upcoming Fallout title, Fallout 76.
According to the news, Fallout 76 will have a leveling system much more different from previous Fallout games, since this one is an online multiplayer survival title. We will still have a perk system and SPECIAL, but they are all different.
SPECIAL will include Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck.Every time you level up, you will be given a point you can put into one of those.
Perks, on the other hand, are another deal. In Fallout 76, there will be cards which will give you special abilities and these cards are related to your SPECIAL stat. Each card requires relevant SPECIAL stat in order to use. Every time you level up, you will be given perk cards. Every two levels up to level 10, you will get perk card packs and after that, you will get a pack in every five level.
You can swap out your perk cards anytime you like. Since this is an online multiplayer game, you can also share your perks and stat boosts with your friends.
Fallout 76 launches for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 14.
