PUBG will start featuring limited-time game modes soon
PUBG Corp. has recently announced that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will feature limited-time game modes soon. The inspiration clearly comes from what Fortnite: Battle Royal which offers unique game modes from time to time for their players to enjoy.
“We are very excited to announce a new system coming to PUBG – the Event Mode. You can think of the Event Mode as a periodically changing preset Custom Game where we will be trying new things and experimenting with different game parameters. “
This new mode will be called “The Event mode” and the first mode to be introduced will increase the rifle drop rate and it will be played as teams up to 8 players. The event will stay for a week and it will change in the future and just like PUBG Corp. indicated, “the future of the Event Mode holds exciting things!” So don’t worry about the first event being a simple one as they will test it and see their possibilities. However, there are a couple of limitations as they are announced on the Steam page:
“Please keep in mind that the first iteration will only feature TPP on Erangel to ensure effective matchmaking. Anyone who owns a copy of PUBG can enjoy the Event Mode. To play in the Event Mode, please use the relevant UI in the bottom left of the main menu”
