Fortnite: Battle Royale Blitz Mode is now available

Epic Games announced that Fornite: Battle Royale’s new limited-time Blitz Mode is now live on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Blitz Mode promises swift storms and lots of loot for a limited time, of course.

Blitz Mode offers short matches compared to usual and these matches are faster and more intense, according to Epic Games. The maximum match will take 15 minutes and the storm circle will be closing in when you start the match. Maybe the duration is reduced, but when it comes to looting, it is the opposite.

During your matches, you will witness more treasure chests and ammo boxes spawning. Floor Loot spawns nearly 100% of the time and Supply Drops descent time also been decreased. Also, harvest resources doubled.

Blitz Mode was a part of Patch 3.3 which added Supply Llamas, yet we have no idea when this limited-time event will end. Here is the main features of Blitz Mode:

    • Blitz has much shorter storm times resulting in faster & more intense matches!
      • Maximum match length is 15 minutes.
    • The match will start with the storm circle already closing in over the island.
    • Adjustments to loot availability:
      • Increased chances of treasure chests spawning from 50-70% to 80-90%.
      • Increased chances of ammo boxes spawning from 65-80% to 85-95%.
      • Floor Loot spawns nearly 100% of the time.
      • Supply Drop spawn interval lessened from 180s (+/- 30s) to 80s (+/- 20s).
      • Supply Drop descent time shortened from 60s to 30s.
      • Launchpad spawn likelihood greatly increased.
    • Harvesting resources doubled.
    • Resources found in loot increased from 30 to 100.
  • Treasure chest health increased from 200 to 500.
  • Ammo box health increased from 120 to 250.

Stay tuned!
