Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney stated that Apple has declined Epic’s request to bring Epic Games’ developer account back on App Store. This means App Store’s ban on Fortnite goes on. Seems like the conclusion of the legal battle between the two companies did not bring any peace to the scene.

Without a developer account, you are nothing in the App Store, mainly because you literally cannot release any apps or games on the platform. Sweeney shared the mail he has received from Apple on his Twitter account.

It all started when Epic rejected Apple’s 30% payment fee that would be taken from every transaction that happens in Fortnite’s iOS port. This has led to Epic’s developer account being terminated and Fortnite no longer being available on iOS devices.

This, later on, went on court, and well, while it’s not a complete win for Epic Games as they are forced to pay Apple $6 million in fines, led to Apple being told that external payment options should be allowed on their platform.

If you had thought that the legal battle between Apple and Epic is over, I suggest you reconsider your stand on this, because it seems like it’s not over just yet.
