New PUBG map and matchmaking improvements coming according to PUBG Corp.

The PUBG craziness continues without interruptions dear reader. Recently, PUBG Corp. has released a Steam post in which they explained their future plans and the past experiences they had so far. After the latest map release, the Desert map to be precise, the game’s developers have been working on the biggest issue of the game: cheaters. And because of that, as they had stated before, they had to delay some of their future plans. And recently, they have talked about a little bit of these plans again. And we have a couple of good ones.

First of all, a new map is on development and it will probably be out before July. On the Steam post that they have shared, it is indicated that “In March, the team will reveal what you can expect from us in the first half of 2018 in terms of our development and new content plans which, by the way, include a new map.” so yes, a new map is on its way.

Other than that, the team has decided to improve the matchmaking system and make it ‘ping based’ which is kind of logical if you ask me. Here is the statement:

Unlike the method considered earlier, we are going to divide the matching pool depending on ping. This means that the users with lower pings will be prioritized during matchmaking. The team is expecting to improve the overall play experience by splitting the matching pool rather than restricting connection depending on ping. Preparations are underway to test this method in some regions, with first trials planned to start this week.

This will most probably improve the experience, yes. But the actual date for these update is still a mystery, as we read: “Specific dates will be shared when ready.”

So, stay tuned fellas for an improved PUBG experience and for more news!
