Metal Gear Survive Release Date Confirmed by Konami

A fresh take on the series of Metal Gear, they say. METAL GEAR SURVIVE will continue from where METAL SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES ends. Also, all these capital letters are giving me a hard time. Anyway, we don’t know what to expect from Konami but, a co-op zombie game? C’mon guys!

Survival action-adventure game Metal Gear Survive will hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early 2018, we told you. Again, thanks to Gamescom 2017, we get to take a quick early look at the game. Yet, a detailed release date was not confirmed by Konami.

Now, Konami announced that Metal Gear Survive will be out on February 20 in the US and February 22 in Europe. If you want to pre-order the game, you will get a free Survival Pack which includes four gold-plated weapons (bat, sledgehammer, survival machete, and survival spear), two gestures (happy and thumbs-up), four survival scarves (green, blue, pink, and silver), Kabuki face paint, Mother Base nameplate and the Boxman accessory.

Metal Gear Survive will be without Hideo Kojima, but it will take place in the time period between Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. After an event which caused the soldiers transported to an alternate reality along with the remains of Mother Base, we find the world full of hostile, crystalline zombie-like entities known as “creatures”. This is what awaits us while playing Metal Gear Survive.

Enjoy!
