Half-Life 2: Tiger Team a mod based on the Episode 3 script of Marc Laidlaw is on development

Is it good news? Or just bad news? We don’t know for sure fellas. The real game will never be released, this is bad news. However, modders can do something about it and this might be the good news. But with little information that they have, it is a little problematic. In any case, for Half-Life fans, a mod like this will be a relief. Developed by Blendo Games, this mod gives you the opportunity to ‘play’ the dream. Well, not exactly what you’d expect when I say ‘play’, but anyways, better than nothing for now.

The mod is called Tiger Team and as we’ve already mentioned, it is based on the script written and put on Internet by Marc Laidlaw. You can read our article about the script to get more information. At least you can have an idea about the story.

The mod however, as the modders indicate on their website, is a ‘tiny single-player mod for Half-Life 2’. How can you measure tiny is a good question right now. As you can see on the video below, it looks pretty tiny at first. It is not polished at all. Playability is a big question about this mod at least at this stage.

But tiny for who? For Half-Life maniacs even a single piece of texture is enough to get them excited. So it is up to you to download and try it to see how ‘tiny’ it is. In any case, knowing that there are some people who work on Episode 3 makes filled with ‘tiny’ joy paticles. If you like Half-Life and would like to see the next Episode, this should be at least a glimpse of hope.

All in all, this is exciting news for many. However, I’m warning you again: the project is not finished yet. This is only the first chapter of the mod so don’t expect a huge thing. And before you try it, read the script to be able to understand better what is going on.

You can go ahead and download it on the mod website. And if you are still skeptical about it, here is a video for you to have a ‘tiny’ idea:
