Xbox Free Play Days Offers Six Games and Trials Through October 26

Xbox Free Play Days is offering six games or timed trials from October 22, led by Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Reloaded Edition, Riders Republic, and both Monster Hunter Stories games. Most of the lineup ends on October 25, while Riders Republic remains available through October 26.

The current Xbox Wire announcement splits the selection between games that require Xbox Game Pass and offers that are open without a Game Pass subscription.

Free Play Days games for Game Pass members

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can play the following games from Thursday, October 22, through Sunday, October 25:

• Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Reloaded Edition — Techland’s open-world action RPG is also available at 80% off for a limited time.
• Let’s Build a Zoo — The management game includes animal breeding, staff management, visitor needs, and DNA splicing. Selected game and DLC purchases are discounted by up to 65%.
• Tropico 6 — The island-management game is free for the weekend ahead of Tropico 7’s January 28 launch. The base game is 75% off, while its DLC is discounted by up to 60% through November 2.

Trials and free access without Game Pass

Three more titles are available without an Xbox Game Pass membership:

• Monster Hunter Stories — A three-hour timed trial of Capcom’s turn-based Monster Rider RPG.
• Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin — A separate three-hour timed trial for the sequel.
• Riders Republic — Free access runs from October 22 through October 26. The event coincides with the game’s fifth anniversary and includes Ubisoft-themed rewards and a concert featuring DJ Henri PFR.

Players can find the install option on each game’s Xbox.com store page while signed into their Microsoft account. On Xbox consoles, the Free Play Days collection appears under the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store.

Achievements and Gamerscore earned during the event carry over if a player buys a game afterward. Xbox notes that discounts, availability, and pricing can vary by title and region.
