Turkish Players Launch Major Social Media Campaign for GTA VI Turkish Subtitles

Turkish players are increasing pressure on Rockstar Games through a growing social media campaign calling for official Turkish subtitles and interface support in Grand Theft Auto VI.

Using hashtags including #WeWantGTA6inTurkish and #GTA6inTurkish, players and gaming communities are directing thousands of posts toward Rockstar Games. The campaign’s request is clear: it is primarily asking for Turkish text localization, not a full Turkish voice dub.

Rockstar currently lists 13 supported languages for GTA VI, but Turkish is not among them.

The absence continues a long-running pattern. Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 also launched without official Turkish localization, and a review of major Rockstar releases shows that Turkish has repeatedly remained outside the company’s supported-language lists. Rockstar’s official support pages confirm that neither GTA V nor Red Dead Redemption 2 supports Turkish.

Despite years of requests, we could not find a public statement from Rockstar Games explaining why Turkish has not been included or whether it has been formally considered for GTA VI.

Rockstar Is Already Communicating With Turkish Players

That silence has become particularly noticeable following the release of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look.

Rockstar partnered with Netflix to premiere the extended GTA VI presentation globally. Netflix confirmed that the presentation itself was offered with subtitles in the same 13-language group currently associated with GTA VI — again without Turkish.

However, Rockstar’s official X account has also been serving Turkish-language promotional messaging for the presentation, including a post promoting “Grand Theft Auto VI: Kapsamlı Bakış” to Turkish-speaking users.

That has become one of the strongest points in the ongoing discussion.

Rockstar clearly has the ability to communicate and market GTA VI to Turkish-speaking players in Turkish. What players still do not have is an explanation regarding Turkish localization inside the game itself.

Recent campaign posts reflect that frustration. Alongside requests for subtitles, one recurring message is that players would at least like Rockstar to acknowledge the issue and provide a clear positive or negative response.

Rockstar Has Expanded Language Support Before

Rockstar’s language lists have not always been permanently fixed.

The company previously expanded GTA V’s PC localization after release by adding another supported language through a title update. There is no evidence that the decision was caused by a public campaign, but the update demonstrates that Rockstar can expand the language support of an existing Grand Theft Auto game.

That does not mean Turkish will be added to GTA VI, and Rockstar has made no announcement suggesting that it will.

But it does mean the currently published language lineup is not necessarily a technical limit that could never be expanded.

Turkish Players Are Still Waiting for an Answer

There is also a visible Turkish-speaking audience around Rockstar’s games. Red Dead Redemption 2 alone has accumulated tens of thousands of Turkish-language user reviews on Steam despite offering no official Turkish support.

For the players behind #WeWantGTA6inTurkish, however, the issue is now about more than numbers.

Rockstar promotes GTA VI to Turkish audiences and has even used Turkish-language messaging around one of the game’s biggest promotional events. Yet official Turkish subtitles remain absent, and the company has not publicly explained why.

The campaign is therefore continuing with a straightforward request: official Turkish subtitles and interface support for GTA VI — or, at minimum, a clear response from Rockstar Games.
