A free demo for Stellar Blade Complete Edition is now available through the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop, giving players their first public chance to test SHIFT UP’s action game on Nintendo hardware before launch.

SHIFT UP confirmed the demo’s release on September 20. The download is available from the eShop on Nintendo Switch 2, although its web store listing may not display the demo option in every region.

The full Nintendo Switch 2 version arrives digitally on November 5, 2026, according to the official Stellar Blade Complete Edition website. A limited steelbook edition is listed for November 6 through participating retailers.

Stellar Blade Complete Edition brings the main game and previously released crossover content, including the NieR:Automata and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC, to Nintendo Switch 2. It also supports Joy-Con 2 motion controls for activities such as fishing.

The port was highlighted during the September Nintendo Direct, where its release date and preorder bonuses were confirmed. Game News Plus included the announcement in its complete Nintendo Direct recap.

The demo release coincides with a new Bayonetta collaboration vignette. The free crossover adds four outfits for Eve named Bayonetta, Nun, Jeanne, and Black Tresses. The collaboration will launch for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC alongside the Complete Edition in November.

Stellar Blade follows Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad, as she returns to a ruined Earth to fight the Naytiba. The game originally launched for PlayStation 5 in 2024 and later reached PC.

Will you use the Nintendo Switch 2 demo to decide whether Stellar Blade is worth picking up?
