Resident Evil Requiem writer Haris Orkin says the game’s upcoming story DLC will further develop Spencer’s arc, offering the first concrete indication of what the expansion will explore. Capcom has not yet announced the DLC’s title, release date, or supported platforms.

Orkin discussed the expansion during a Meadowlark Comic Con interview with Distance NERDing. In comments first highlighted by Insider Gaming, he explained that players understand more of Spencer’s arc in Requiem and will understand it further in the DLC. He then acknowledged that he probably should not have disclosed that detail.

The disclosure builds on Capcom’s earlier confirmation that extra story content is in development. In a March 10 message from director Koshi Nakanishi, the studio said the expansion would go deeper into the world of Requiem and asked players to be patient while development continued.

Resident Evil Requiem is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Until Capcom formally reveals the expansion, Orkin’s remarks establish its connection to Spencer but leave its wider story, launch timing, and platform availability unconfirmed.

Which part of Spencer’s history would you like the Requiem expansion to explore?
