Phantom Blade Zero requires about 145 GB once installed on PC, but players need at least 300 GB of free disk space during the preload process, according to pre-launch guidance from developer S-GAME.

The developer’s guidance reported by PC Gamer makes an important distinction: 300 GB is the temporary free-space requirement for preloading and unpacking the game, not its final installed size. The PC preload began on October 26, ahead of the game’s October 28 launch.

S-GAME also advises players to install the game on an SSD and update their graphics drivers before launch. The latest requirements listed for the PC version on Steam set the following hardware targets.

Phantom Blade Zero minimum PC requirements

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8 GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Performance target: 1080p at 30 FPS with upscaling enabled
  • Storage: Approximately 145 GB on an SSD

Phantom Blade Zero recommended PC requirements

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Performance target: 1440p at 60 FPS with upscaling enabled
  • Storage: Approximately 145 GB on an SSD

Players planning to preload should therefore make substantially more room than the permanent installation will occupy. After the files are unpacked, the game itself is expected to use roughly 145 GB rather than the full 300 GB reserved for the process.

Will you need to clear extra SSD space before preloading Phantom Blade Zero?
