Sony has revealed two Grand Theft Auto VI limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers for PlayStation 5. The black and white designs will cost $84.99 each in the United States, with preorders opening September 10 ahead of a launch starting November 19.
The official PlayStation Blog announcement introduced the controllers during September’s State of Play. Both versions use a shimmering, color-shifting finish inspired by Vice City’s sunsets and neon-lit nights, along with molded palm-tree details and official GTA VI branding.
The White Limited Edition is designed around Vice City at daybreak, combining white with pastel tones. The Black Limited Edition draws on the city’s nightlife and uses the same shifting-color treatment against a darker base.
GTA VI DualSense preorder and release details
U.S. preorders for both GTA VI DualSense controllers begin September 10 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET through PlayStation Direct. Sony says supplies will be limited.
The white controller will be sold in limited quantities globally through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. In markets where PlayStation Direct operates—including the United States—the black controller will be exclusive to that store; Sony says select retailers will carry it in other regions. Exact launch dates and availability can vary by country or region.
PlayStation says GTA VI will use the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to respond to the action and add dynamic resistance during Jason and Lucia’s story. The controllers’ November 19 launch coincides with the game’s release date. Rockstar Games confirms Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
