Final Fantasy Resonance has reached an all-time peak of 42,885 concurrent players on Steam, passing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s 40,564-player high.
SteamDB recorded the Resonance peak on October 25, 2026. Its figure is 2,321 players higher than the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth peak set on January 26, 2025.
A new Steam benchmark for single-player Final Fantasy games
The comparison is specifically between single-player Final Fantasy releases on Steam. Final Fantasy XIV has posted a higher peak on the platform, but it is an online multiplayer game and therefore sits outside that category.
Resonance reached the new mark during its first full weekend after launching on October 22. The early turnout gives Square Enix’s latest RPG the strongest concurrent-player peak yet for a single-player Final Fantasy title on Valve’s storefront.
The Steam result does not represent total sales or the game’s audience across every platform. Final Fantasy Resonance is also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch systems, so the 42,885 figure covers only simultaneous Steam players.
