Final Fantasy Resonance has 177 tracked completion locations across its major collectible systems, and none of them is missable. You can finish all eight story chapters, load your cleared save, and use full free-roam for cleanup. The most efficient route is to pick up Tablet Shards while moving through towns and dungeons, complete high-value side quests as they appear, and leave the hardest Cave Masters, Legendary Arm trials, and Ultima Weapon until your party is properly equipped.

The 177-location count covers eight party-member substories, 15 Cave Masters, 26 Visions, nine Espers, 99 Tablet Shards, 12 Legendary Arms, and eight Adamantite. The game’s 33 Sub Quests are a separate quest list, so they should not be added to 177 as though they were another collectible category.

This guide focuses on efficient completion rather than a full story walkthrough. If you need release, platform, edition, demo, or save-transfer information first, see our Final Fantasy Resonance Complete FAQ. Square Enix’s official launch information confirms the October 22, 2026 release across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Microsoft Store on Windows.

Final Fantasy Resonance 100% overview

Completion category Total Missable? Major reward
Party members and substories 8 No Those Who Defy Fate / Conscience Renewed
Cave Masters 15 No The Harder They Fall
Visions 26 No Will Crystallized
Espers 9 No The Sovereigns of the Planet
Tablet Shards 99 No Memento and Oblivion Palace rewards; 89 needed for the trophy route
Legendary Arms 12 No Legendary Arms
Adamantite 8 No The Weaponsmith
Sub Quests 33 No known permanent lockout Visions, Espers, character bonuses, equipment, and crafting access

The completion route is forgiving: difficulty does not affect trophies, one playthrough is enough, and the game provides 10 manual save slots plus autosave. Collecting as you go still matters because it reduces backtracking, not because a chapter transition permanently closes content.

Recommended 100% completion roadmap

Step 1: Finish the eight-chapter story

  • Pick up Tablet Shards in every town and dungeon you naturally visit.
  • Enter nearby Vision Sanctums and rotate a Vision after a character reaches Mastery Rank 9.
  • Complete quests that award a Vision, Esper, permanent party bonus, or major system upgrade.
  • Fight Cave Masters only when your level and build match the recommendation shown at the cave.
  • Keep a few manual saves, but do not restart because you walked past a collectible.

Step 2: Use post-story free-roam for collection cleanup

  • Finish all eight character substories.
  • Collect missing Visions and Espers.
  • Reach at least 89 Tablet Shards for every trophy-relevant palace reward, or all 99 for a literal full collection.
  • Collect all eight Adamantite and have Aileen craft a weapon for every party member.
  • Restore all 12 Legendary Arms at the Chamber of Arms.
  • Defeat any remaining Cave Masters and finish the meaningful Sub Quests left in the log.

Step 3: Finish the high-level combat objectives

Save the most demanding encounters until your Vision builds, Magicite awakenings, crafted weapons, and Legendary Arms are in place. Ultima Weapon is the main post-story superboss and is best treated as the end of the route rather than an immediate clear-save challenge.

All 26 Visions

Visions are a central build system, not cosmetic collectibles. Square Enix’s official systems overview explains that learned Vision abilities remain available for custom setups within the ability-cost limit, while Resonances activate after a Sweeping Stagger. Mastery Rank is tracked separately for each character, so move a mastered Vision to another party member or replace it to expand your available builds.

All 12 Legendary Arms

The Chamber of Arms becomes reachable by airship from Chapter 5. Each standard Legendary Arm begins as a weak Ancient item. Bring that item to its matching pedestal and win the level-50, two-stage trial to restore it. After all 12 are restored, optional level-75 rematches award “+” versions, but those upgrades are not required for the standard Legendary Arms trophy or achievement.

Ultima Weapon endgame guide

Ultima Weapon becomes available after finishing the story. Load the cleared save, watch the airship scene, and travel to Ardra Crater in the southeast. The boss is level 70 with about 3.9 million HP. A strong setup can win in the low 60s, but levels matter less than having fully developed Vision builds, reliable status protection, MP recovery, strong crafted weapons, and high-end armour.

Prepare a dedicated healer, bring ways to mitigate or nullify its signposted major attack, and build around high sustained damage rather than a short burst. Legendary Arms, Aileen’s Adamantite weapons, mastered Vision abilities, and upgraded Magicite make the fight far more manageable. This guide keeps the strategy concise because a full ability-by-ability Ultima build is a separate boss-guide topic.

Trophy and achievement roadmap

PS5 trophies

  • 40 trophies: 1 Platinum, 4 Gold, 7 Silver, and 28 Bronze
  • No missable trophies
  • Difficulty does not affect trophies
  • One playthrough
  • Approximately 50-60 hours for the Platinum route
  • 10 manual save slots plus autosave

Steam and Xbox achievements

The Steam version lists 40 achievement goals built around the same completion objectives. Steam and Xbox do not use PlayStation’s Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum grading. “Ultimate Fantasy” is the final completion achievement on those platforms rather than a PlayStation Platinum trophy. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 do not expose an equivalent system-level achievement list.

The launch completion data in this guide was checked against PowerPyx’s trophy roadmap and its 177-location collectible index, then reorganized into an original low-backtracking route.
