A fan-made mod called H2M, which was set to add content from the 2009 version of Modern Warfare 2 to Modern Warfare Remastered on PC, has been shut down by Activision. The mod, which was to be released on August 16, faced a Cease & Desist order from Activision’s lawyers just a day before its launch. The H2M mod promised to introduce 50 maps, new gun attachments, camos, an updated progression system, and original Modern Warfare 2 Killstreaks. The anticipation of the mod had caused a significant increase in the game’s player base on Steam. Activision has yet to clarify the reason for this decision.
