Activision Sells AI-Created Skins in Call of Duty

Activision Blizzard has started selling AI-generated weapon skins in Modern Warfare 3, according to a recent WIRED report. The investigation reveals that Activision began using AI tools, including GPT-3.5, in early 2023 for creating concept art and marketing materials. By late 2023, these AI-generated cosmetics were available in the game’s store. Riot Games is also reportedly experimenting with generative AI but has not fully integrated it into their development process.
