E3 2017: EA Play News Round Up

E3 2017 has started and the first day Electronic Arts hosted EA Play Press Conference. Star Wars: Battlefront II, Need for Speed: Payback, Battlefield 1, FIFA 18, Madden NFL 18, NBA Live 18 and many more had their own moments. Along with that, a new co-op title, A Way Out announced.

Let’s take a look at E3 2017 EA Play conference under separate titles:

ANTHEM

Anthem took place at E3 2017 as BioWare‘s new IP. There was an impressive announcement trailer showing off a sci-fi universe. We will be able to watch the extended gameplay at the Xbox E3 briefing on Sunday, June 11, 2:00 PM PDT.

There is no detailed information about which platforms Anthem will hit. Xbox is clearly one of them. Anthem was the first surprise at E3 Play. You can watch the Anthem official teaser trailer below:

STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT II

Here are the big news! At E3 2017 DICE announced that Star Wars: Battlefront II’s DLC maps, modes and characters will be free. There won’t be any season pass, but seasons of themed content. The first one will be themed around Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It will launch in December and will feature Finn and Captain Phasma.

Along with free DLCs, characters, weapons and vehicles, there will be live events and challenges.

Here is the Star Wars: Battlefront II official gameplay trailer:

A WAY OUT

Another surprise from Electronic Arts! A Way Out is a co-op-only action adventure game from the developers of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Hazelight Sudio created a more realistic game from Brothers this time with better visuals. A Way Out focuses on two convicts who are on the run after a prison escape. The most important part about A Way Out is that the game is only playable in co-op. Online or local split-screen, this is a journey you must experience with a friend.

A brilliant idea, if you ask me. Watch the trailer and decide for yourselves:

NEED FOR SPEED: PAYBACK

Need for Speed: Payback recently announced for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Thanks to E3 2017, we get to take a good look at the game.

The demo of Need for Speed: Payback showed us a mission in which you must chase a tractor with a Mustang with some enemies chasing you. Once you crash and defeat your enemies, famous slow-motion scenes take place.

While playing the game, we will be able to control three different characters but it is not clear how. Need for Speed: Payback will be out on November 10 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Here are the reveal and gameplay trailer of Need for Speed: Payback from E3 2017:

BATTLEFIELD 1

We know that In The Name of The Tsar will be out this September and will bring female soldier to the game. After the launch of this DLC, EA and DICE will release regular updates for Premium players.

In few months, eight new maps will be out for Battlefield 1. French-themed nighttime maps will be out from the beginning of this month: Nivelle Nights in June and Prise de Tahure in July.

Oh and, Battlefield 1 streamer MugsTV proposed his girlfriend OoLaLa87 at the EA Play event and she said yes!

FIFA 18

FIFA 18 will also feature a narrative-driven single-player campaign. Premiere League footballer Alex Hunter’s story will also continue with FIFA 18. You may cherish that while playing FIFA 18, you will witness Cristiano Ronaldo’s involvement more than before, thanks to motion-capture.

FIFA 18 launches on September 26 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in US. Other countries will have on September 29. FIFA 18 will also hit Switch, yet the Switch version will not be running on Frostbite Engine and there will be no Journey mode.

Here are the trailers for FIFA 18:

MADDEN NFL 18

NBA LIVE 18

NBA Live series is turning back in 2017 with NBA Live 18. With NBA Live 18, EA aims to bring something new to the genre.

There is a mode called “The One” where you can play as your own custom character. As you play and improve, you can improve your character. NBA Live 18 will also bring a street ball mode to the game. You can team up with your friends and play 5-on-5 street matches.

In August, the demo of the game will be available for us to out The One mode in single-player and co-op.
