Do you feel annoyed when a launcher app pops up when you click the start button? If yes, don’t worry anymore! Those days were passed.
2K has fully shut down its launcher, removing it from all Epic Games Store and Steam games. Announced on November 18 and completed by November 25, the shutdown also affected the 2K Launcher Beta used for Sid Meier’s Civilization V. Players will find their 2K Launcher folder replaced with a 2kLauncherRemoved.tx file, which can be deleted. If pop-ups persist, troubleshooting steps like restarting Steam, rebooting the PC, or updating games on Epic Games can help remove them. Following the closure, several 2K games will now launch directly, while others like Mafia Trilogy and Civilization V will rely on Steam or Epic’s native launchers.
What do you think about the deletion of 2K Launcher? We will be delighted to see your comments!
