Hogwarts Legacy Boycotted by Some Fans Because J. K. Rowling Gets Credited for It

We’re looking towards the coming of Hogwarts Legacy, which will be released on February 10 for PS4&5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

There are many opinions from those who have got the chance to try the game out, and the reviews are mostly pretty good. Considering how large and ambitious this game will be, it is no question that it will be pretty interesting to see how the game will perform post-release.

When we say “large and ambitious”, we mean it. According to the developer, the game will feature content that will take over 120 hours to complete with over 100 side quests included. Now, it seems like it’s safe to say that this game will be huge!

There are many fans who have been waiting for this title and still do, but there are also those who chose to boycott the game. The reason behind this, as you might have guessed, is J. K. Rowling. Let’s clear out one thing, J. K. Rowling is not directly involved with the development of the game. Although that’s a fact, she will still profit from the sales.

In the past years, J. K. Rowling has gained infamy due to her transphobic comments. This had a huge impact on a lot of people, including those who are faithful fans with strong bonds to the Harry Potter franchise. As a result of this, J. K. Rowling’s likeability dropped drastically.

The impact this will have on the sales of the game is still a question. Well, we will see the results after the game’s release, which will be in less than 2 weeks.

  1. If your going to boycott this game, be prepared to boycott way more things in life. Do you honestly think every Pepsi employee has your same values? Probably not, yet you still buy Mountain Dew. Apply that to any product. Boycotting is so stupid.

If your on the fence and reading this, buy it, have fun, enjoy life, and ignore the gatekeepers.
