The Last of Us: HBO Series Premiere Date, New Tabletop Game Announced

The Last of Us HBO series’ premiere date has been announced by Naughty Dog and HBO in style, shipping the news along with a poster, briefly showing the world of The Last of Us while highlighting the premiere date, which is January 15th, 2023.

As far as we know, the series will have 10 episodes and will cover the first game of the franchise. While this raised some questions back then, it was also said that some parts of the story will deviate greatly when compared with the game.

But this is not all, as Naughty Dog has made another announcement, revealing their brand new tabletop game The Last of Us: Escape The Dark. This project was made possible via a collaboration between Naughty Dog and Themeborne, the creators of Escape The Dark.

According to its website, The Last of Us: Escape the Dark offers “1-to-5 players a new way to experience the world of The Last of Us. Taking the roles of Ellie, Joel, Tess, Bill, Tommy, or Marlene, fans will have the opportunity to weave their own unique story of survival and companionship as they explore an open-world map – attempting to make their way to safety while keeping everybody in the group alive.”

The project will have its Kickstarter campaign launched soon, where fans will have a chance to get their hands on “an exclusive collector’s edition of the game.”
